Position Overview:
We are seeking a Clinical Engineer Technician II to enhance our dedicated team. In this role, you will engage with a diverse range of medical devices, including life support systems such as anesthesia machines, ventilators, and dialysis equipment. Your daily responsibilities will vary, providing a stimulating work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and on-demand clinical engineering services, including repair, maintenance, relocation, and installation of medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding equipment, inventory, and service records.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of medical equipment with information systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A high school diploma/GED combined with relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
Certifications:
- Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET) is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Clinical Engineering Technician I at Cleveland Clinic or four years of relevant experience in a similar field.
- Equivalent specialized or military training may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and climb ladders to work on overhead equipment.
- Capability to work in confined spaces and assume prone positions.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and small mechanical components.
- Visual acuity to distinguish color-coded wiring and read detailed schematics.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this position is between $27.65 and $42.17, depending on experience and qualifications. This range does not include the comprehensive benefits package offered by Cleveland Clinic, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
