Beverage Barback Job Description

Rivers Casino is seeking a skilled Beverage Barback to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our beverage team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bar service.

Responsibilities:
  • Liquor Management: Maintain a well-stocked liquor manifold and distribute beer and liquor orders to the appropriate locations.
  • Supply Management: Set up and monitor supplies during shifts, including restocking various beverages and essentials.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the pop and liquor rooms, including regular sweeping and mopping.
  • Bar Maintenance: Keep bar and storage areas free of clutter, debris, and trash at all times.
  • Ice and Beer Management: Maintain ice levels and ensure continual restocking of beer throughout the shift.
  • Chemical Management: Monitor chemical levels in dish machines and replace as necessary for effective cleaning.
  • Garbage Disposal: Manage garbage disposal areas, ensuring regular emptying and thorough cleaning of garbage cans.
  • Safety and Communication: Maintain focus on safety and accident prevention, promptly reporting any incidents to the supervisor and completing necessary documentation.
  • Shift Transition: Maintain a clean work area and ensure effective communication between shifts.
Qualifications:
  • Pressure Management: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Exhibit a cooperative, friendly nature with a well-groomed appearance.
  • Material Safety: Ability to understand Material Safety Data Sheets relevant to the position.
  • Certification: Must be able to obtain a RAMP certification.
  • Flexibility: Possess strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays.
  • Licensing: Obtain and maintain all necessary state licensing for the role.
Certifications and Requirements:
  • Non-Gaming License: Obtain a Pennsylvania Non-Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged Standing: Prolonged periods of standing and working in the bar areas.
  • Lifting and Pulling: Capacity to lift and pull up to 50lbs regularly, and occasionally handle 50+lbs.
