Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Systems Technician to join our team at South Coast Facility Services. As a key member of our MEP contractor services, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with customers and colleagues.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical industry standards and codes, as well as experience with electrical test equipment and software applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement procedures and tasks provided by foremen, managers, directors, or project managers
  • Travel to customer sites for inspections, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Complete automatic transfer switch servicing and troubleshooting
  • Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years commercial field technician experience within the electrical industry or similar
  • Associate's degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), EE Degree from an ABET-accredited college, or similar experience and training from the military
  • Prior experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and supporting structures

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

This is a full-time position with occasional overnight travel, flexible hours, and overtime required. A valid driver's license and good driving record are essential. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
