Electrical Systems Engineer

About the Role:

The Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, integrating and troubleshooting electrical systems on Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs) and Industrial Electric Vehicles in Waev Inc.'s portfolio. This includes market-leading GEM vehicles and the iconic Taylor-Dunn vehicle line.

This individual will support all aspects of engineering, specifically hardware such as sensors, motors, wire harnesses, and electrical control units. The Electrical Systems Engineer will work in a fast-paced team environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop new electrical architectures for LSVs and industrial electric vehicles.
  • Design electrical components, including wire harnesses, in partnership with mechanical engineering counterparts to integrate into next-generation LSVs and industrial electric vehicles.
  • Release electrical components into prototyping and production processes.
  • Develop, manage and maintain electrical Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and electrical engineering specifications.
  • Develop and manage documentation of requirements, designs, and validation reports.
  • Support electrical engineering validation work, including testing of all systems used in electric vehicles.
  • Support the Customer Service team with ongoing issue analysis, technical documentation, and trouble shooting trees.
  • Release high-quality automotive drawings, components, and systems.
  • Find best parts and suppliers and develop competitive BOM costs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot vehicles throughout the development process.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, technicians, and manufacturing workers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher.
