Job Summary

A highly skilled Automotive Technician A is needed to join our team at Pep Boys. As a Technical Expert, you will diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, lead a team of technicians, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair drivability and electrical systems to specifications.
  • Lead a team of technicians to increase customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Interact with customers to educate them on problems and proposed solutions.
  • Perform job duties of lower job descriptions, including Technician B, Mechanic, and General Service Technician.
  • Effectively communicate technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay up-to-date with automotive technology.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience.
  • 4 or more ASE certifications are preferred (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes, plus 2 from the following: A1 Engine Repair, A6 Electrical, A7 HVAC, A8 Engine Performance, L1 Advanced Engine Performance).
  • Section 609 certification required.
  • State Inspection license if applicable.
  • High level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude.
  • A valid driver's license.
