Job Overview

Shift Details: 5:20 PM to 5:50 AM, following a 2-2-3 rotation. Compensation is approximately $24.42, contingent on experience, with opportunities for advancement.

The Bottling Line Technician is responsible for overseeing the operation of the bottle filling and capping machinery, as well as managing the decasing and case packing processes. This role requires the safe operation of equipment, troubleshooting issues, conducting changeovers, performing quality inspections, and executing basic maintenance tasks. The Technician will also provide guidance on safety, quality, and operational procedures to temporary staff assisting in the area.

  • Adhere to safety protocols within the work environment, maintaining a focus on safety during all operations, maintenance, equipment setup, and part changes. Promptly report any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses, and participate actively in the plant's Behavior-Based Safety program and safety inspections.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring the Bottling Department meets production targets while complying with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Utilize established resources (Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures) to uphold safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure compliance with all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies. Take ownership of the Standard Operating Procedures for bottling line positions and consistently perform duties in accordance with these standards. Continuously seek improvements in performance and quality to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strive for excellence as measured by departmental Key Performance Indicators. Understand and follow all SOPs and best practices to maintain the highest quality standards for bottling operations and customer service. Generate proactive ideas to enhance the efficiency of bottling processes.
  • Execute all responsibilities associated with the bottling line, including case feeding, quality checks, case packing, and labeling. Complete all documentation accurately, ensuring thorough record-keeping of inspections conducted.
  • Exemplify the Sazerac Ideal Team Member Profile by fostering professional relationships within and outside the organization. Promote a positive work environment where all employees are encouraged to contribute to exceeding customer expectations.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Good physical health, capable of standing, sitting, climbing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong vision and manual dexterity.
  • Proficient in operating industrial equipment as necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to perform work accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred.
