Explorers Program Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Explorers Program Aide to join our team at the Minnetonka Community Education Center. As a key member of our Explorers Program, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of age-appropriate activities, monitoring program spaces, and providing guidance to children. Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation of activities and monitor program spaces to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
• Provide support to staff supervising children and offer guidance to help them develop new skills.
• Establish a positive and friendly relationship with students, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity.
• Assist with preparing project supplies and activities for students, ensuring a well-organized and efficient program.
• Support students and ensure safety during non-school day programming, both at our schools and other designated locations.
Requirements:
• Evidence of understanding and willingness to abide by confidentiality policies and practices.
• Proven record of punctuality and responsibility, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and expectations.
• Passion for working with children, with a focus on creating a positive and supportive environment.
• Ability to accept direction and work as a team member, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to children and adults, including coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
• Complete CCAP required training prior to the first day of employment and participate in required staff development hours annually.
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. The Explorers Program Aide will work closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the program. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are not required for this position.
