Job Title: Explorers Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Explorers Site Supervisor to lead and supervise a school-age child care program at Groveland Elementary.

Job Summary:

The Explorers Site Supervisor will be responsible for developing an enriching program for our school-age child care program, leading activities, managing program spaces, supervising and providing guidance for students, and training and supervising Explorers staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program for school-age child care, including activities, games, and educational experiences.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to students, ensuring their safety and well-being during non-school day programming.
  • Train and supervise Explorers staff and volunteers, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with building and district staff, including custodial, clerical, nutrition services, and others as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all site documentation and required paperwork.
  • Support after-school enrichment and recreation classes, providing a safe and caring environment for children.
  • Establish positive and friendly relationships with parents, fostering a high level of communication and trust.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, or two years of college with 18 months of experience in school-aged care.
  • Evidence of successful experience in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Evidence of successful experience in program leadership.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Complete CCAP required training prior to first day of employment.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.
