Position Overview

Emerald Health Services is seeking a dedicated Travel Radiology Technician to join our team. This role involves operating x-ray equipment and conducting various mammography-related diagnostic procedures with precision and care.

Work Schedule

Shift: Days / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8x5, 40 hours per week

Contract Duration

Length: 13 Weeks

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant field
  • Willingness to consider candidates with less than 2 years of experience
  • First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
  • Current BLS certification
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in Mammography
Key Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for:

  • Operating digital and 3D mammography equipment
  • Ensuring high accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques
  • Maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards
Skills and Experience

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience with RIS/PACS software and eRad
  • Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies
  • Prior quality control experience
  • Ability to understand and utilize medical terminology
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods
Required Certifications and Licenses
  • BLS certification
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography
  • ARRT advanced certification in mammography or MQSA qualification
  • Non-restricted licensure in the state of practice
Education

High school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of a formal imaging technology training program from an accredited institution.
