Job Overview

Company: New Way Trucks
Position: Pulse Welder
Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday - Thursday


Primary Objective: To join metal components utilizing designated wire welding techniques.


General Overview: Employ Pulse welding technology to construct metal assemblies efficiently, enhancing the production of various refuse truck models.


Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Pulse welding equipment to effectively assemble metal structures, optimizing production output.
  • Deliver robust welds that are smooth, free of pores, and consistent.
  • Adhere to established protocols and utilize suitable jigs and fixtures to facilitate the assembly process.
  • Execute welding tasks in vertical, flat, and overhead positions with adequate penetration.
  • Maintain a production level that minimizes delays.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery safely and report any hazards to the Safety and Maintenance Departments.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills.
  • Possess mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions and angles.
  • Read and interpret tape measures and angle finders.
  • Understand blueprints and cut lists.
  • Operate plasma cutters and acetylene torches.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Support colleagues in various tasks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of experience in welding or fabrication is preferred.
