Pulse Welder Specialist

New Way Trucks is seeking a skilled Pulse Welder Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding metal parts together using specified wire welding processes.

• Welding Operations: Use Pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies in an efficient manner to maximize production of a variety of garbage truck models.
• Quality Control: Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
• Equipment Maintenance: Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in assembly process.
• Production Efficiency: Weld vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration, and maintain/produce a level of output that will minimize production delays.

• Equipment Safety: Operate the equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operations to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
• Communication: Good communication skills are essential for this role.
• Math Skills: Math skills including fractions and angles are required for this position.
• Reading and Interpretation: Read tape measure and angle finder, and read blue-prints and cut lists.
• Equipment Operation: Operate plasma cutter and acetylene torches.
• Work Area Maintenance: Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
• Team Support: Assist other individuals in areas when needed.

• Experience: 1 year preferred in welding or fabrication.
