Astronautics Corporation, a global leader in secure avionics equipment and systems, is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to join our Oak Creek, WI team.
This hands-on, highly technical internship is designed to provide real-world experience in an engineering development environment. As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our engineering staff on actual customer projects, contributing to the launch of new avionic flight display products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing improvements to processes and procedures based on current performance analysis
- Documenting evaluation test plans, quality test reports, process instructions, and procedure updates
- Assisting with Kaizen and mini "Kaizen" events, including Fishbone Sessions and Process Flow Chart Sessions
- Developing environmental product test profiles and evaluating, modifying, and updating vibration test fixtures
Desired skills include strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently in a lab setting.
Requirements include current enrollment in an accredited college or university with junior or senior standing, a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
