Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Furlani Foods. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections of production lines to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Verify sanitation standards are being met prior to and during production, conducting safety and sanitation audits and follow-up.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and ATP or allergen swabbing to ensure the line is properly cleaned.
- Document and report any non-conformities or deviations from quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality and safety issues.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future non-conformities.
- Conduct sensory evaluations of products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and document temperature and other critical control points to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Participate in investigations and root cause analysis to identify and correct quality and safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with production teams, quality assurance teams, and management to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; food-related certifications and/or minimum college education highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred but not required; in-house training provided.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or PowerPoint.
This position requires the ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment, with occasional exposure to noise, chemicals, biohazards, and radiation. The incumbent must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive movements.
