Policy Analyst, Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator

The Policy Analyst is a key member of the Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator (VPA) team in the Law School at Vanderbilt University. This role is responsible for conducting research, analyzing policies, and producing high-quality written content. The Policy Analyst will work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to advance the mission of the VPA.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research and analysis on policy topics, including economic policy, political economy, and regulation.
- Develop and implement research projects, including designing research protocols and collecting and analyzing data.
- Write high-quality reports, white papers, and op-eds on policy topics.
- Engage in policy advocacy, both independently and in collaboration with the Executive Director and other team members.
- Provide support for research projects, including data collection, data cleaning, and data analysis.
- An undergraduate degree is required; a graduate degree in law, public policy, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in government, public policy, a think tank, or academia is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should have a strong interest in economic policy, political economy, regulation, and/or law.
- Ability to demonstrate maturity, creativity, and initiative is necessary.
- Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects is necessary.
