Job Title: Communications Director, Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center

Vanderbilt University's Peabody College is seeking a highly skilled Communications Director to lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication plans for the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of evidence-based policies that support the well-being of children from birth to age three.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to promote the Center's mission and goals.
  • Lead a team of communications specialists in creating engaging content, including press releases, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and maintain strategic goals and objectives.
  • Manage and maintain the Center's website, ensuring it is up-to-date and aligned with the organization's brand.
  • Develop and implement a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to communications staff, including mentoring and performance evaluations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest communications and marketing trends, best practices, and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of related experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and communication strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and formats.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring staff, with a focus on professional development and growth.
