Job Title: Director of Nursing

Glendale Career College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Vocational Nursing program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the program's philosophy and objectives
  • Plan, evaluate, and supervise the implementation of the curriculum
  • Establish and review policies and procedures for the Nursing Department
  • Evaluate and select clinical affiliations for VN students
  • Interview, evaluate, and employ new instructors
  • Provide orientation and training for new personnel
  • Maintain effective communication with assigned personnel
  • Conduct regular faculty meetings and initiate projects and studies
  • Advise and assist instructors in material selection and program development
  • Exercise authority in student selection and retention
  • Develop and maintain records and reports for the program
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • Current valid R.N. California License
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an R.N.
  • Within the past five years, must have completed a minimum of one year of teaching or clinical supervision or a minimum of three years of Nursing Administration experience
