Plant Operations Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Director to oversee the safety and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain management, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, forecasting, and routine business reviews across multiple locations.
  • Ensure that the cost of poor quality meets or exceeds standards, aiming to reduce scrap costs and improve both internal and external quality.
  • Oversee supply planning, including capacity planning, labor and machine forecasting, financial reconciliation, and execution of the plan.
  • Manage costs to meet profit and loss targets, improve gross margins, and achieve budgeted goals for earned hours and absorption requirements.
  • Lead the overall strategy for people management, focusing on safety, well-being, organizational culture, and workforce planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
  • 12 years of experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • 5 years of management experience, with a track record of driving change and improving processes and production.
  • Experience driving safety transformation within a large manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
