Position Summary:

The Production Packaging Specialist is responsible for assisting in the packaging processes across various production lines. This role involves supporting Operators and Line Leaders in the setup, packaging, and proper storage of products, as well as maintaining cleanliness in production areas. The Specialist will ensure that all documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Follow daily instructions from Line Leaders or Supervisors.
  2. Package products into cases with the correct quantities.
  3. Assist in the interpretation and maintenance of Packaging Log Sheets.
  4. Maintain Metal Detector charts and logs.
  5. Exhibit strong work ethics and promote teamwork.
  6. Comply with all safety regulations and plant policies.
  7. Transfer finished products to the warehouse as needed.
  8. Scan packaged products into the inventory management system.
  9. Perform repetitive tasks to ensure efficient production operations.
  10. Work at various stations as production demands change.
  11. Inspect, sort, count, and place products into designated areas.
  12. Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors.
  13. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
  14. Propose improvements for cost control and process efficiency.
  15. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and legal standards.
  16. Report unsafe conditions to management.
  17. Complete all assigned tasks as requested.
