POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Retail Financial Analyst is crucial in maintaining the fiscal integrity and regulatory compliance of Rolling Greens Nursery.

This role provides a pathway for professional advancement and allows you to contribute to the growth and prosperity of a small business while acquiring valuable experience in a vibrant and cooperative setting.

We seek an individual with a background in accounting within a retail environment that encompasses multiple locations.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

Reports to:
CFO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the
CFO in various accounting tasks.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards.

Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts by collecting relevant data, identifying trends, and collaborating with department leaders.

Help implement and oversee internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.

Participate in the development of financial policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and recommending improvements.

May assist with tax compliance and provide support during audits.

Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

Provide Leadership

Assist in training and mentoring accounting team members.


Serve as a resource for policy, procedure, and accounting principles for managers, directors, owners, and junior staff.

Take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA certification is preferred.

Knowledge/Experience

4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a small to mid-sized company.

1 year of accounting experience in a retail environment with multiple locations.

Strong knowledge of GAAP is required.

Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is essential.

Familiarity with the retail industry is advantageous.

Supervisory experience is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel.

Must be at least 18 years old.

This position is on-site Monday through Friday.
