Kina'ole Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a project-specific quality control program, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a quality control program that meets contract requirements and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Site Observations and Inspections: Conduct daily site observations and inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements, using certified QC Specialists as needed.
  • Submittal Coordination: Manage submittal coordination and process with assistance from other project team members.
  • Testing and Inspections: Coordinate and ensure that all on-site and off-site testing and inspections are performed in accordance with the contract documents.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain hard copy of submittals and product samples on site, update and maintain the submittal register, hardcopy/e-files, and processing/tracking of submittals.
  • Team Management: Manage, schedule, and coordinate all QC Specialists and test and inspection engineers and technicians.
  • Training and Development: Train, mentor, and lead project team members.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Five or more years combined experience in commercial construction industry as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer required, as well as two years' experience as a QC Manager.
  • Education: A BA/BS degree in Industrial/Construction/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is the minimum formal education preferred for this position.
  • Skills: Knowledge of project plans, specifications, shop drawings, samples, and models to assist in quality control management. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Certifications: Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired.
