Job Summary:

Under the direction of a radiologist, perform radiological procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. This role involves performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required and may be assigned additional duties by department management, including patient escort services, quality control, and participation in training and committee work.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiological procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
  • Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required.
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Participate in quality control and training programs.
  • Provide patient escort services as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registered or registry eligible for the ARRT certification in radiography.
  • One year experience in general radiography preferred.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography or registry eligible.
  • CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
