The State of Kansas is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Vectorborne Disease Investigator to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of infectious diseases, including those transmitted by ticks.

As a Senior Vectorborne Disease Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into tickborne disease cases, including initial outreach to healthcare providers and interviewing patients. You will also be responsible for providing education and recommendations to case patients and local health departments regarding control of tickborne diseases.

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with flexible schedules available. The hourly pay range is $26.00, and you will be eligible to receive benefits, including comprehensive medical, mental, dental, vision, and additional coverage, sick and vacation leave, and paid state holidays.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in a health-related field or three years of experience in disease control, epidemiology, nursing, medical investigation, and/or public health. You will also need to have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of infectious diseases, vector-borne diseases, and prevention and control measures for vector-borne diseases. You will also need to be able to organize data and results for dissemination.
