Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs as detailed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with the parts department to secure required components.
- Tag and save parts for warranty-related jobs or upon customer request.
- Inspect assigned vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs.
- Communicate with service advisors promptly regarding any additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
- Document all performed work and recommendations on repair orders.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles as necessary.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and events.
- Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Oversee the work of apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Report any equipment defects or malfunctions to management.
- Ensure customer vehicles are maintained in clean condition and report any changes in appearance or condition.
- Maintain a tidy shop environment.
- Be responsible for all dealership tools and manuals, ensuring they are returned in good condition.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
- Utilize all tools and equipment safely.
- Report any safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an automotive technician.
- Clean driving record for the past 2 years.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Quick learner with strong communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in computer use.
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver's license required.
- High School Diploma preferred.
