Dental Care Specialist

Job Overview:
The Staff Dentist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality dental care to patients, working under the direction of the Dental Director or Solo Chief Dentist.
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
This position involves direct delivery of dental care for patients, including conducting examinations and determining treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in general dentistry and knowledge of personnel management principles, dental quality assurance principles, and IHS and ADA Dental Guidelines and Standards of Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct dental care for patients
- Conducts dental examinations and determines treatment plans
- Coordinates referrals with specialty and generalist care as needed
- Follows Privacy Act Guidelines
- Supervises dental clinic staff in the absence of senior leadership
- Participates in quality assurance program
- Assists in setting goals for the dental clinic
Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree required
- Current Michigan Dental License and DEA License required
- Experience in general dentistry and knowledge of Indian Health Service (IHS) and ADA Dental Guidelines and Standards of Care preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
