Position Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator at ERL Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately complete job documentation for tasks performed, seeking guidance from the Fabrication Lead when necessary.
  • Execute job assignments as directed by the Fabrication Shop Supervisor.
  • Receive shipments from vendors and clients, ensuring all items are accounted for according to packing lists; promptly report any inconsistencies to the purchasing department.
  • Prepare items for safe transport and delivery, including boxing or palletizing goods; manage the shipping process to customers while maintaining records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Possess familiarity with standard material handling equipment; forklift certification is preferred, with training available for those without.
  • Conduct pick-ups and deliveries using the company vehicle as required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities driven by customer needs.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing various movements such as sitting, standing, bending, and reaching throughout the facility.
  • Work in a mixed environment that includes both shop and office settings, with exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise and dust.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and shipping software (UPS/FedEx) is advantageous.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a forklift is essential.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
