We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Demand Performance organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale, high-availability software and ML systems that are mission-critical for the Amazon Ad stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build scalable and reliable software and ML systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver telemetry, transparency, and machine learning solutions.
  • Design and implement ML systems and automated offline training pipelines.
  • Optimize latency and throughput of production models and conduct A/B tests to measure their impact.
About the Team

Our team is responsible for creating targeted, personalized, and privacy-safe experiences for people to capture their attention. We curate audiences and events, which group people with similar interests, lifestyle, demographics, or purchase intentions through deterministic event and predictive ML models.

We ingest billions of events every day, evaluate them in real-time, and vend audiences and signals for every ad request received within a fraction of a second. This allows our advertisers to show the right ads to the right users.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
