Software Development Engineer

At FormFactor, we are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our High Precision Devices (HPD) Product Division. As a key member of our R&D team, you will play a vital role in the development of world-class Cryogenic Refrigerators. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating scientific instruments to ensure the proper function of the cryostat and data collection. You will work closely with fellow software engineers to develop and refine software components using C#. Additionally, you will design and implement comprehensive test procedures to uphold code integrity and functionality. You will also engage collaboratively with a diverse team spanning various disciplines, including analyzing and interpreting system diagrams and processes to enhance understanding. You will contribute to the formulation of safe operating procedures with your team and generate comprehensive documentation for both internal and external stakeholders. You will also assist in the creation of informative diagrams and manuals, clarify system operation for end-users, and aid in the preparation of detailed product R&D reports and succinct executive summaries. You will be required to have 1-3 years of software development or SQA experience, including internship experience, and a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. You will also need to have experience with C# or equivalent experience with C++/Java and a willingness to learn C#. Some experience with communication interfaces such as TCP/IP and RS485 is also required. You will be willing to travel as needed and have the ability to quickly learn new cutting-edge technologies. You will also have the opportunity to work with lab test equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMMs), Oscilloscopes, etc. and experience with git version control. You will also have experience with DeviceNet, Modbus, or other industrial communication standards. The pay range for this role in Boulder, CO is between $64,100 and $84,100.
