Overview:
At Loxahatchee Dental Care, we're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our providers in providing top-notch dental services.

Responsibilities:
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
• Conducting thorough reviews of patients' health histories to provide quality care
• Taking and processing x-rays and other diagnostic assessments
• Providing superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures
• Utilizing Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Preparing treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations
• Managing supply and inventory levels, as well as placing and expediting orders as needed

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you'll need to have a working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology, as well as experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment. If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification are also necessary. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.

Physical Requirements:
The ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation is essential. Prolonged periods of sitting and standing, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, are also required. Additionally, you'll need to be available to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
