Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, PLLC. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide exceptional chair-side clinical support and assistance to our doctors and hygienists, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provides superior clinical support and assistance to doctors and hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
• Manages patient flow, prioritizes next operatory room for doctors, and updates doctors on patient status.
• Welcomes and greets patients in the reception area, providing a personal introduction and name and position.
• Takes and processes X-rays, performs patient hand-offs, and enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor.
• Verifies patient clinical service needs were exceeded and takes appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations.
• Escorts patients to check-out, completes sterilization processes for equipment and operatory, and monitors laboratory cases to ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule.
• Maintains emergency kits and first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tank, and follows maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor.
• Identifies, reports, and follows up on any maintenance issues in the office, including dental equipment and handpieces.
• Maintains and updates the MSDS binder and follows OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
• Maintains and updates annual CE requirements as specified by the state, and performs miscellaneous other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year job-related experience required.
• State requirements where specified.
• Physical requirements include mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems.
