Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
  • Provide restorative and rehabilitative procedures/plans as instructed, including ambulation with/without self-help devices, range of motion exercises, dining, and bowel/bladder training
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
  • Respond to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provide or obtain assistance with care as necessary
  • Uphold Residents' Rights at all times and support and uphold all company policies and care philosophy
  • Monitor rooms for adequate lighting and safety hazards as appropriate, and use only equipment trained on in a safe manner
  • Assist with admissions, perform inventory and marking of personal items, and assist residents with bowel and bladder functions, monitoring of bowel movements, and specimen collection as instructed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be State Registered or Certified Nursing Aide/Assistant in the state for which position is held
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting is preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members
  • Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Able to pass the necessary tests (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) if required by state regulations
