We are recognized as a comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the treatment and management of cancer, fostering biomedical research, and educating future healthcare professionals.
Role Responsibilities:
The selected physician will have the opportunity to enhance their academic profile by collaborating with laboratory researchers, overseeing clinical trials, and contributing as a primary author in translational research publications.
Focus areas will include Leukemia or Bone Marrow, with a commitment to pioneering research trials.
Support from Advanced Practice Providers (APP) will be available to assist with clinical duties and inpatient care.
Additionally, the role involves mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students within our interdisciplinary program.
Incoming faculty will benefit from a minimum of 50% protected time dedicated to research activities.
Research and Clinical Trials:

Current Research Trials Include:
- Phase III study evaluating two treatment options for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients who have not responded to 2-4 prior therapies, focusing on relapsed or refractory cases.
- Comparative study of LOXO-305 against idelalisib plus rituximab or bendamustine plus rituximab in previously treated patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic leukemia (SLL), particularly those who have undergone BTK inhibitor therapy.
- Assessment of blinatumomab's efficacy in treating CD19-positive mixed phenotypic acute leukemia (MPAL) in patients with relapsed/refractory or measurable residual disease (MRD).
- Two-part study investigating venetoclax combined with AZA and CC-486 to determine the recommended Phase 3 dosing for each combination.
- Evaluation of galinpepimut-S (GPS) versus best available therapy (BAT) in enhancing survival rates for AML patients in their second or subsequent complete remission.
