Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Service Technician II to join our team at Everon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency service calls, troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency service calls to ensure the smooth operation of our commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot, replace, and repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work with minimal supervision and provide training and assistance to less senior technicians or trainees.
  • Proctor, coach, and teach others to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Provide reliable, high-quality customer support and instruction on system operation and functionality.
  • Perform system testing and signal verification to ensure compliance with local and national codes.
  • Maintain the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools) to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
  • Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
  • Ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks and provide documentation of service and hours worked.
  • Complete and submit all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Mastery knowledge of trouble shooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
  • Working knowledge to full understanding of local and national codes.
  • Mastery knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers, and decibel meters.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to clear a drug screening.
  • Obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
  • 50% to 75% proficiency in ADT Commercial's Tier 1 product offerings.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear. Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color. Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc. Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs. Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with 'on call availability' and must be able to travel on short notice. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
