Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist's aide plays a vital role in the Radiology Department, ensuring the smooth transportation of patients to and from radiology procedures. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients to and from radiology procedures in a timely and safe manner.
• Stock and maintain radiology rooms, ensuring they are equipped with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for radiology procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of patient transport and procedure completion.
• Collaborate with radiology technologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; second-year radiology student from a program affiliated with East Ohio Regional Hospital preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment as needed.
• Familiarity with hospital safety policies and procedures, including infection control and emergency preparedness.

Physical Demands:

• Sitting: 3-5 hours/day
• Standing: 3-5 hours/day
• Walking: 3-5 hours/day
• Bending: less than 3 hours/day
• Lifting: up to 50 pounds or greater with assistance
• Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals or infections
