Job Title: Clinical Instructor Hourly/ACA

Utah State University is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Instructor to join our team in the Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program. As a Clinical Instructor, you will play a vital role in the education and training of nursing assistant students, providing guidance and support to help them develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their careers.

Responsibilities:
  • Cooperate with the Program Coordinator and/or Primary Instructor in scheduling clinical experiences for students.
  • Supervise small groups of nursing assistant students in the clinical setting, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills.
  • Remain on premises and available to students at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Actively seek opportunities for students to apply their learned skills in real-world settings.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, helping them to identify areas for improvement and develop their critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, including sign-in and sign-out sheets with exact times of arrival and departure.
  • May occasionally substitute for the classroom instructor upon notification of UNAR.
  • Provide feedback to the training program regarding student readiness for clinical experience, identifying potential weaknesses and areas of strength in the training provided.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a licensed nurse with a minimum of two years of nursing experience, including at least one year in long-term care facility services or caring for the elderly or chronically ill.
  • Must be a reasonable candidate for approval by UNAR, meeting the requirements for instructor approval, including completion of the UNAR Instructor approval packet, licensure in good standing with the Utah Department of Professional Licensure, and a resume showing two years of nursing experience with at least one year in long-term care facility services or caring for the elderly or chronically ill.

$25.00 per hour

ADA:

The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work each department performs. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments, with varying levels of physical activity and exposure to weather conditions.
