Intramural Instructor

Utah State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intramural Instructor to join our team. As an Intramural Instructor, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and teaching assigned intramural sports and recreational activities for USU students.

• Plan, organize, and lead one to two classes a week related to the specific intramural sport.
• Teach basics and fundamentals, and organize practices for the first four weeks, then organize a playoff bracket for the last three weeks of the semester.
• Ensure student safety and foster a positive and educational environment during all activities.
• Collaborate with the Campus Life Department to enhance the intramural program.
• Follow all University policies and procedures for engaging with students during activities.
• Provide thorough safety instructions before each class.
• Ensure all sports equipment is properly maintained, safe, and ready for use.
• Monitor student activities during classes to ensure safety and compliance with rules.
• Assess students' skills, participation, and knowledge throughout the course and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
• Keep detailed records of class activities and student participation.
• Stay updated with current trends and practices in intramural sports and recreation.
• Review the class course fee annually and recommend any necessary adjustments.

• At least 1-2 years of experience in related Intramural sport activity.
• Knowledge of and experience coaching intramural sports.
