Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Professional to join our team at Bernalillo County. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive detoxification and treatment services to clients struggling with substance abuse.

About the Role

This is a dynamic position that requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and strong communication skills. You will work closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive case management and support services to clients undergoing detoxification and recovery.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based interventions and coordinate care.
  • Monitor client progress, make adjustments to treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and education.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma and two years of experience working in substance abuse, healthcare, law enforcement, emergency management, or corrections. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification is highly desirable. Additionally, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Bernalillo County offers a competitive salary range of $56,000 - $73,500 per year, based on experience.
