Job Summary

Center for Family Guidance, CFG, PC is seeking a part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable hospital system in North Jersey, covering a child inpatient unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Early Diagnosis and Treatment: Ensure timely diagnosis and evaluation, medication management, and supervision of treatment in collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.
  • Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough evaluations to establish an accurate five-axis diagnosis, determine the level of care, and develop treatment and aftercare plans.
  • Medication Management: Assess and intervene in pharmacological treatment, modify existing regimens, and monitor efficacy and adverse effects.
  • Psychiatric Supervision: Provide individual and group supervision to evaluate patient progress, modify treatment plans, and ensure adherence to goals and objectives.
  • Staff Development and Activities: Assist in staff development and participate in activities to enhance professional growth.
  • Annual Certification: Maintain certification in the Handle With Care behavior management system.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Be a physician licensed by the state of New Jersey.
  • Certification: Be a board-certified psychiatrist.
  • Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing continuing education activities to enhance professional development.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, talking, and hearing. The employee must frequently use hands to handle objects, reach, and climb. The employee must occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
