Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Purchase food, non-food items, and necessary equipment for food service operations, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Develop nutritious recipes and menus based on available food and supplies, and ensure compliance with dietary requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee and coordinate maintenance and repairs at the facility, including plumbing, electrical, heating, air, and landscaping.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise clients and assistant staff in housekeeping, laundry, security, kitchen, and maintenance duties, and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement an emergency preparedness plan, including evacuation procedures and fire drills.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate professionally with other agencies and stakeholders to solicit donations and initiate client referrals, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.
  • Financial Management: Contribute to budget development and strive to meet budgetary guidelines, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as required, including responding to emergency situations and making decisions quickly on available information.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with college experience or degree preferred. A minimum of three years experience in food service and/or facilities maintenance is helpful.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and diplomacy. Ability to organize, plan, and schedule to accomplish work objectives, and manage time and resources effectively.
  • Physical Demands: Physically able to reach, push, pull, stoop, stand, walk, and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Work Environment: The work environment is moderate to loud, with occasional work in outside weather conditions or off-site from normal office location.
Additional Information:
  • Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with evening and weekend hours may be required.
  • Certifications and Training: Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and required to participate in yearly trainings regarding infection control and safety in the environment.
