We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Engineer to join our Geotechnical Engineering Section. The successful candidate will work on multi-disciplinary engineering teams as a project engineer/team member on complex engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform complex engineering analyses and calculations as needed, either independently or under direction.
- Conduct field investigations and laboratory testing to gather data for geotechnical engineering projects.
- Develop and administer consultant contracts, prepare project feasibility studies and life cycle cost analyses, and identify and mitigate project risks.
- Prepare and comprehend construction contract documents (plans and specifications), review submittals and RFIs, and prepare cost estimates and project schedules.
- A bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited civil or geotechnical engineering curriculum OR a California EIT Certificate.
- Two years of professional civil and/or geotechnical engineering experience (subsequent to obtaining the degree), which is equivalent to two years of experience at EBMUD's Junior Engineer level.
- A competitive salary range of $134,163,572.00 annually, increasing to $11,214, $11,775, $12,364, $12,982, and $13,631 after 6, 18, 30, and 42 months, respectively.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including 12 days paid vacation, 16 holidays, 13 days paid sick leave, family health insurance, fully paid family dental and vision care plans, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, EBMUD Retirement Plan, and opportunities for professional growth.
