Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering a culture of empathy and respect.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state where care is provided.
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience, with at least 1 year of current ED experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the ED.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
