We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Systems Engineer to join our Advanced Tactical Programs team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the integration and testing of advanced radar and communications systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the integration and testing of radar and communications systems, including digital integration, radiating integration, mode integration, and flight test.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying system requirements.
- Coordinate integrated testing activities, including environmental, reliability, and flight testing.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program.
- Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite testing of individual units before all system components are available and for troubleshooting and repair of failed units.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 12 years of experience; or 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's (MS) degree or 7 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
- Expert in leading a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally and external team members.
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution.
- Knowledge and experience with RF hardware and test equipment.
- Knowledge and experience with proposals, basis of estimate creation, technical volumes, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Agile principles, tools, and implementation.
- Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR).
- ATP SAP program clearance.
- Knowledge and experience in the development of ground, air, or sea-based radar, EW, and/or COMMS systems.
- Knowledge and experience in experimental Flight Test planning and execution.
- Knowledge and experience in environmental and EMI/EMC planning and execution.
- Knowledge and experience in on-site test demonstrations planning and execution.
- Experience with MATLAB coding, test scripting, data analysis, and signal processing.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.
- Knowledge and experience in firmware and hardware control integration planning and execution.
- Knowledge and experience integrating and testing software written in C, C++.
- Knowledge and experience in secure processing and systems security integration planning and execution.
- Knowledge and experience developing scripts/code in Python/C/C++ to automate manual processes.
