About the Role

The Accounting Professional develops and implements financial controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate and detailed records, and establishes and maintains the data processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and review general ledger accounts and schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, and assist the Controller with the preparation of monthly financial statements and tax payments.
  • Prepare various monthly budget and commission reports in Excel and Word, and provide financial data and materials for key leadership meetings.
  • Bill new, used, and wholesale vehicle deals, and calculate gross profit or loss.
  • Post accounting entries, internal service repair orders, and parts invoices on a daily basis.
  • Process and manage Accounts Receivable, make collection calls, and prepare daily bank deposits.
  • Clear checks and post accounting entries, pay off cars from floorplan as they are sold and funded from various banks.
  • Process warranty cancellations and customer refunds, cut checks to various banks, customers, and warranty companies.
  • Implement new policies and procedures to ensure organization and efficiency, and title work and accounts payable as needed.
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation and floorplan statement, and create and maintain precise and accurate charts and reports.
