Job Opportunity

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 24-25 school year.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
  • Develop and implement tailored education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on various issues, including academic concerns, social-emotional problems, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with educators and school personnel to design and implement interventions to address students' needs.
  • Work closely with parents and families to provide support and resources, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote student success and well-being, staying up-to-date on current research and best practices in special education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current state license to practice special education.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a special education teacher in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassion, empathy, and commitment to student success.
