Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Under the supervision of a licensed radiologist, you will operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce accurate and detailed images of the body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure accurate and efficient imaging services.
  • Administer contrast media and follow established protocols for minimizing radiation exposure.
  • File and manage patient records, including PACs functions.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control standards.
Requirements
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Proof of continuing education and completion of mandatory infection control education and training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
  • Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and policies and procedures.
