Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. You will work under direct supervision to perform diagnostic procedures, using your knowledge, skills, and abilities to serve patients of various ages. Your role will involve communicating with the healthcare team, explaining procedures to patients, and minimizing radiation exposure. You will also be responsible for filing work, administering contrast media, and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic procedures, including routine, emergent, biopsy, and special procedure examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Communicate necessary information to other members of the healthcare team and provide service-oriented communication with patients.
Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
File work, administer contrast media, and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Participate in quality assurance functions and maintain the cleanliness of the assigned room.

Requirements:
Minimum one year of experience as a CT technologist within the past two years or six months of experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire.
Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations, adaptability, and flexibility.
