Position Overview

The Industrial Plant Technician plays a crucial role in the operation, upkeep, and repair of essential machinery across the facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various equipment including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and air compressors.
  • Monitor and log operational data, analyze performance metrics, and identify potential issues or inefficiencies.
  • Conduct chemical testing on water systems and adjust chemical treatments to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Adjust and monitor plant machinery, utilizing process instrumentation effectively.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
  • Comfort with Heights: Candidates must be able to work in elevated environments, including tasks requiring extended periods at various heights.
  • Ladder Usage: Regular ladder climbing is essential; candidates should be capable of safely navigating ladders of different sizes.
  • Operation of Lifts: Proficiency in using various lifts, including scissor and boom lifts, is necessary for reaching elevated areas.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in plant or mechanical maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Possession of a Class IV Stationary Engineer's License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
  • Familiarity with standard mechanical practices and applicable building codes.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Basic record-keeping skills.
  • Competence in using hand and power tools.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation: $28.00 per hour

The stated pay represents the salary range for this role. Actual offers will vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geographic location.
