Overview

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Clinical Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our clinical nutrition team, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor and Department Director to develop and implement effective nutrition care plans for patients.
  • Provide high-quality inpatient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Establish and evaluate nutrition care plans, staying up-to-date with the latest research and findings.
  • Precept clinical interns and students, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Liaise between the clinical nutrition team and other disciplines and providers, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Provide training to the clinical team and other departments, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Qualifications
  • Education: Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics leading to registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN).
  • Basic knowledge of subspecialty areas, including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, and oncology.
  • Must obtain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits per calendar year, staying current with new findings and research.
  • Experience: Knowledge of different formulas for assessing patient nutritional needs, completion of general and patient care orientation, and six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility (preferred).
  • Licensure/Certifications: Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State license, with registration achieved within the first six months of eligibility or hire date. Must obtain a food handler's permit from Cleveland County Health department before hire (or within one week of hire).
