About the JobWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing. This is a full-time opportunity that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Job DescriptionAs an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Attending and contributing to patient care, staffing conferences, and meetings as a representative of occupational therapy.
- Adhering to department and patient treatment schedules, timely clinical and billing documentation, and work-related meetings.
- Collaborating with the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities for each patient.
- Instructing patients, families, and caregivers in occupational therapy techniques under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintaining timely documentation for all patients treated.
- Cleaning, maintaining, identifying, and reporting the need for equipment repair.
- Ensuring patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate service, recognizing individual needs and rights.
- Implementing individualized treatment plans established by the primary Occupational Therapist.
- Providing individualized occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic techniques in areas such as cognitive skills, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, perceptual abilities, sensory awareness, sitting and standing tolerance, balance, activities of daily living, joint protection, work simplification, orientation, physical agent modalities, low vision, falls risk management, medication management, health and wellness, and community integration.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid Occupational Therapy Assistant state license or proof of eligibility.
- A valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
