Global, a 1st Flagship Company is a leader in Marine Support Services and Emergency Management, serving the Department of Navy as their trusted Prime Contractor since 1964. We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and surveying vessels, equipment, and property for compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations at our INACTSHIPMAINTO Bremerton Site. They will write and execute safety and environmental compliance plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Program Elements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Investigate near misses, accidents, and injuries, determining cause and mitigation, and reporting findings to relevant parties
  • Communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and government agencies to foster strong working relationships
  • Deliver timely, accurate reports and documentation to Project Managers and corporate leadership
  • Represent the company professionally in dealings with suppliers, subcontractors, and other government agencies

Requirements:

  • A four-year college degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or Environmental Science with at least three years of experience managing safety and environmental compliance OR five years of experience as a Safety and Health Manager or Environmental Manager in a Marine Repair Environment
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint
  • A current driver's license and the ability to meet the requirements of the company's Vehicle Safety Manual

Security Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Estimated Salary Range:$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
