Job Summary

The Corporate Director of Procurement is responsible for leading the Procurement department at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations and strategic procurement projects. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in vendor relationships, contracts, and deals.
  • Manage departmental budgets, financials, and variance reporting, including overtime tracking and management.
  • Collaborate with operational managers and directors on design issues and equipment decisions.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Procurement department at two properties.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the Stratton Warren system, POs, item numbers, and other related data.
  • Work with Nevada and Colorado properties to combine volume and reduce costs.
  • Provide monthly reports on operational price variances.
  • Ensure bid specs are up to date and provide weekly market trend reports.
  • Oversee the shopping list and ensure timely ordering of items.
  • Review requisitions, contact vendors, and purchase goods based on agreed-upon price, quantity, and quality.
  • Research and communicate with existing and potential vendors to cultivate working relationships and develop advantageous price and service agreements.
  • Act as a mentor to other employees and coworkers to provide superior customer service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience as a leader of a Procurement Department, with experience in Food and Beverage operations and Casino operations and FF&E.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel, and Stratton Warren experience preferred.
